We got off the interstate to get something to eat and stumbled upon the Oakwood Bar and Grill. We only had two things. The fried perch platter, essentially fish and chips, was outstanding. I would come back just for this.
We also had the chicken wings, which were very good.
The burgers going to other tables looked good. The kitchen seems to know what it's doing. -

First time I've been here in about 6-7...not impressed!
They've done a lot with the facility- at least it doesn't smell like a basement anymore!
Ordered the burger, which was obviously a pre-packaged frozen burger based on its perfectly round shape and consistency; the flavor is about what you'd expect from a pre-frozen burger...BLAND! The fries, had so much salt,I could barely eat them!!
Server: Crash and burn here too! She changed the TV directly over our booth without even asking if we minded. Also, she made 3 trips to our table, neither of which took our empty plates until I finally had to ask for them to be removed! WTF?!?
Do yourself a favor, and if you're in the area, head to "Ford's Garage" instead off this _____hole! -

I went here a while ago with some work colleagues and everyone got burgers except for me. I ordered the turkey Rueben.
The food wasn't bad for a dive bar with a nicer and newer exterior, it used to look rougher in its past lifetime.
My colleagues all devoured their burgers like the animals that they are. I ate half of my turkey Rueben and half of the bread, I recalled feeling it was getting a bit soggy and that's the worst to me. The Reuben wasn't bad, but not out of this world either. Haven't craved it since. -

This place has improved drastically from the last time I went in here (which was likely about 20 years ago.) It used to be a very divey bar... and while I enjoyed it in it's crap-tastic state, this is much nicer! The waitress was friendly, food good (had a burger,) and parking fairly easy. The place does get loud, but other than that - great local bar!

Great for the hidden treasure it is. This is a dive bar so you need to recognize that and leave it at that... don't expect fancy. This place does well as the local watering hole and one-ups most other bars in the area by having pretty good food, actually. I enjoy their good old American burgers and fries, and I appreciate that they are living in the 21st century and accept all major credit cards. Cheap beer, cheap food, no cooking for you late at night. If you are looking for a place to have just that, then there you have it! Enjoy!
